The Liberation Fab Y’all-Road bicycle frame is made for every road and every body
We’ve worked hard to craft a bicycle that strikes a harmonious balance between function & form, speed & stability, and practicality & pleasure. We think you’ll absolutely love it.
Philosophy
I admit it, I didn’t grow up saying “y’all.” The dialect of my hometown was decidedly in the “you guys” camp for the second-person plural pronoun. It took a bit of feminist education, involvement in the queer & trans community, and some linguistically awkward stumbling blocks for me to come around on the humble “y’all.” In time, I came to see “y’all” as an explicit statement of inclusion. Especially when paired with a nasally midwestern accent, it says “I see ALL of you” in a way that “you guys” elides.
With this in mind, the Y’all-Road frame is my take on the venerable all-road design. It marries classic sensibilities from a long heritage of steel framebuilders with modern technology. It’s a bike frame that is inclusive in its sizing, utility, and versatility. The Y’all Road frame sees ALL of you and can’t wait to be ridden everywhere.

Design
Our Y’all-Road frame is the bike you reach for every day.
It’s versatile enough to load up with a rack and groceries one day then hold its own in a fast-paced group ride the next. Seamless fender capabilities means year-round fun with or without the sun. This frame happily takes on gravel, cobbles, or crumbling infrastructure with wide tires and flexible tubing that provide all-day comfort.
This design is inspired by the many road and road-adjacent surfaces in the Pittsburgh area. To local cyclists, “road” rarely mean smooth sailing. A routine ride here will take you from asphalt to broken concrete, over centuries-old brick, and along debris-strewn railroad tracks. We think we’ve found the sweet spot of nimble, comfortable, light, and capable in this frame.
We’ve taken the winning “all-road formula” and modernized it with flat mount disc brakes, integrated dynamo routing, and compatibility with all the latest frame standards. You’ll find plenty of clearance for fenders, knobby tires, and a wide range of drivetrain options.
With an eye toward inclusion, this frame is available in seven stock sizes, fitting a height range from 4’11” to 6’4” (150-195cm). If you find yourself outside of this range, we’ll work with you to get a custom geometry made at no extra cost!
Specs
-
We have seven stock sizes that are designed to fit riders from 4’11” to 6’4” (150-195cm). To optimize bike fit, performance, and handling, we’ve selected different wheel sizes based on the frame size.
XXS and XS use 26” wheels
S, M, and L use 650b (aka 27.5”) wheels
XL and XXL use 700c (aka 29”) wheels
Check out the full sizing and geometry chart below or on Bike Insights. You can compare any of our frame sizes against a bike you currently ride and see how they stack up!
A couple of geometry notes:
The geometry chart listed is for the Rodeo Spork. The steel fork will decrease trail to 35mm and increase toe clearance by about 20mm.
A lot of frame designers alter the seat tube angle in the XXS, XS, XL, and XXL sizes to alter the effective top tube without actually making the bike frame any shorter or longer. We keep the seat tube angle constant across all sizes to reflect the fact that the average femur-to-tibia ratio is invariant of height.

A bike frame is pretty useless without a fork, right?
The All-Road frame was designed with the Rodeo Labs Spork 3.0 carbon fork in mind from the very beginning. We’ve been stress-testing this fork for years and despite our best efforts, it’s still going strong. The Spork 3.0 strikes a great balance of tire clearance, front rack compatibility, and style. It’s also a great option for folks who want to shave off a bit of weight from their build.
For the folks who want to carry more gear up front or who like a more precise handling feel, we are happy to offer a low-trail steel fork as well. Like the frame, this fork is hand made and painted to match right here in Pittsburgh. This fork features flat-mount brake compatibility, integrated dynamo routing, and plenty of braze-ons for fenders, racks, and cargo cages.
Both forks are compatible with a wide range of racks. We love the RatKing RIP Rack and have partnered with them to offer it painted to match your frame.
The Nitto M18, VO Flat Pack, VO Randonneur, Soma Champs Elysees, and other randonneur-inspired racks will all work well with both forks. You can also run a bag support like the Rod Steward along with a handlebar bag.
The steel fork is compatible with porteur-style racks for hauling larger loads with a stable platform.

The Y’all-Road frame is designed with 42mm tires in mind which we think is the absolute perfect tire size for an all-road bike. The frame will work well with 36mm to 48mm tires should you so choose.
There are many good options in this size range that balance fast-rolling performance and high-volume comfort.
Frame sizes that use 26” and 650b wheels can “size up” to 650b and 700c wheels respectively. If you choose to do this, we recommend 35mm to 38mm in the larger wheel size.
We think that fenders are a must on any all-road all-season bike. We’ve made sure to design around fenders to make them easy to install, secure, and beautiful.
For 26” wheels, we recommend:
For 650b wheels, we recommend:
For 700c wheels, we recommend:

In an effort to encompass the breadth of what “all-road” means, this frame is compatible with a wide range of drivetrain options.
Two-by compatibility:
Big chainrings up to 48 teeth
Small chainrings up to 36 teeth
Chainline of 45 to 50mm
Front derailleurs with a 28.6mm clamp
One-by compatibility:
Chainrings up to 44 teeth
Chainline of 45 to 50mm
We’ve specifically made sure to validate compatibility with the following cranksets:
White Industries R30 and G30
Shimano GRX, all configurations
SRAM Rival & Force Wide, all configurations
Easton EA90 with AX Gravel Rings or Direct-Mount 1x ring
Be aware that extra-wide tires (above 48mm) or large fenders may interfere with small chainrings in a 2x configuration, especially for “road” cranksets.

In a world of increasingly precarious supply chains, it’s challenging to commit to a specific set of tubing for a production run of frames. The All-Road frame is designed around the venerable Columbus Zona series, but we may swap out individual tubes as availability fluctuates. You can be assured that the tubes we use will be individually vetted to our high standards.
We’ve designed the Y’all-Road frame to sit on the more compliant end of the steel frame spectrum. This means that we use tubing diameter that is specific to the size of the bike and the rider.

Y’all-Road frames are available in three stock paint schemes plus one limited run collaboration. We took inspiration from the variety of surfaces that “all-road” inspires.
The stock paint options are:
Brick - a deep matte red with a subtle orange hue
De-Icer on Concrete - a lustrous blue sparkle over a medium-gloss grey
Oil Spill on Asphalt - a subtle rainbow sparkle over a textured glossy black
Steel forks come painted to match the frame, but carbon forks will be unpainted.
