Pricing and Timing
The two most frequent questions we get are “how expensive is one of your frames?” and “how long does it take to get one?” Those are deceptively tricky questions to answer!
Pricing
Every frame is different in the parts, labor, and tooling costs required to build it to our specifications. The prices below help provide a ballpark so there are no up front surprises. We can provide a rough quote if you’re just window shopping or dig into the nitty-gritty if you’re feeling more serious. Either way you’ll need to send us a message to get the process started.
Timing
We like to schedule our builds monthly with about 2 custom builds per month (give or take based on availability). Liberation Fab currently does not have any custom openings as the business transitions from full-time to part-time.
Simple Steel Frames
Starting at $2200
Steel is real! Welded steel frames are our bread and butter - we’d love to make one special for you. $2000 gets you a basic frame with all the modern accoutrements you could desire. Most any brake mount you want, wide head tube for tapered forks, and a great set of tubes. Even simpler frames like fixed-gear, singlespeed, or rim brake may come in a bit cheaper!

Fancy Steel Frames
Starting at $2500
Maybe you’re a seasoned cyclist who knows exactly what you’re want and is looking for your “forever” bike. Or perhaps you have a weird idea that no off-the-shelf bike can provide. Perhaps you just like the feeling of how ultra-lightweight tubes ride. Francy frames take it to the next level with options for sliding dropouts, tapered head tubes, exotic tube sets, and high-custom work like integrated wiring or guided internal routing.

Titanium Frames
Starting at $3000
If steel is our bread and butter, titanium is our decadent chocolate mousse. Titanium bikes hold a legendary status to some, but they offer some real-world benefits in terms of compliance and weight savings. We’d love nothing more than to work with you to create a beautiful bike out of this space-age material.

Custom Steel Forks
Starting at $400
A custom steel fork can really bring a build together or radically alter the feel of a bike. We’re happy to provide all sorts of designs from lithe randonneur-inspired low trail forks to heavy-duty segmented forks for bikepacking in rugged terrian.
If you’re looking for something lighter, we’ve partnered with Rodeo Labs to offer their carbon Spork 3.0 as an add-on to our frames.

We’d love to hear your idea for a custom widget, thingamajig, or gadget. Our machine shop capacity is limited, but we have friends with big tool libraries and are happy to help you communicate your idea. Liberation Fab can also help with steel frabrication projects in almost any realm.
